අටඟ මග, n. (අට, අග portion, section), the eightfold way to Nirvāna, i. e. the way embracing eight sections, viz. — 1. සම්‍යක් දෘෂ්ටිය, right view, orthodoxy. 2. සම්‍යක් සංකල්පනාව, right volition or determination. 3. සම්‍යක් වචනය, right speech. 4. සම්‍යක් කර්‍මන්තය, right action. 5. සම්‍යක් ආජීවය, right living or livelihood. 6. සම්‍යක් ව්‍යායාමය, right effort. 7. සම්‍යක් සමෘතිය, right remembrance or contemplation of the past. 8. සම්‍යක් සමාධිය, right meditation.

අලරිය, temple-tree, Plumeria acutifolia (Apocyn.).

අල්ලිය, n. place, තැන; square on a chess board; a small Hindu temple.

ඇත් මද, n. exudation from the temples &c. of elephants when in rut.

ඉද්ද, C En. plant, the flowers of which are offered in temples, Wrightia zeylanica, see වල්ඉද්ද and සුදුඉද්ද.

ඔජ, ඕජාව, n. joy, delight, ප්‍රීතිය; juice (from elephant's temple &c.), ඇත්මද.

කතරගම, n. village in the south-east of Ceylon where there is a temple to Kārtikéya.

කාක පක්ෂ, n. side-locks of hair on the temples of boys and young men (especially of the Kshatriya caste).

කියඹුව, කියඹු වැල, n. curl or lock or plait of hair on the forehead or temples.

කෝවිල, n. T., Hindu temple, pagoda; pl. කෝවිල්.

ගණ්ඩ කුසුම, n. (ගණ්ඩ cheek), juice of the temples of an elephant in rut, ඇත්මද.

ගණේශ, n. (ගණ companies or classes, ඊශ Lord), the god of wisdom, son of Siva and පාර්‍වතී. His image in H. temples is that of a short, fat man with an elephant's head. He is appealed to and worshipped as the remover of obstacles in all undertakings and compositions. He is chief of the various classes of subordinate deities who are Siva's attendants.

ගිනි·දෙවොල, n. temple of Agnidevi.

ගෙබරළා, n. temple store-keeper, විහාරයේ ගබ ඩාකාරයා.

තුන්·මද, n. the three exudations of an elephant in rut, from his temples, eyes &c.
