සුර්‍ය්‍ය·නිර්‍වෘතිය, n. solstice: සුර්‍ය්‍ය·දක්‍ෂිණ·නිර්‍වෘතිය, southern solstice, සූය්‍යෝත්තර·නිවෘතිය, northern solstice.

සූර්‍ය්‍ය·ග්‍රහණය, සූර්‍ය්‍ය·ග්‍රහය, n. solar seizure, viz. eclipse of the sun: see ග්‍රහණය.

සංඛ·මුණ්ඩකය, n. (·මුඩ් to shave, bare), conch-shaving or baring, viz. one of the thirty-two punishments inflieted on criminals, rubbing the head with gravel till it is as bare of flesh as a conch shell.
