ශෞටීර, a. proud, haughty, උඩඟු, උදාරම්.

ශල්‍ය·ධාරි, a. spiniferous, spiny, කටුදරන.

ශ, n. The first of the seventh or sibilant class of letters. It is a palatal sibilant and its true sound is probably a light Sh as heard in the word Cession; but in general usage it does not differ from the dental ස. Some words are written either with ශ or ස.
