වාන, a. dried, වියළි; pert, to a forest, වන, කැලෑ.

වි·කශ්වරායුධය, n. (·ආයු:) sur. speculum, විහී දුවා පෙන්වන ආවුදය.

වාච්‍යය, n. predicate, what may be said of any thing, E. S.; gram. voice or mood of verb, see කර්‍තෘවාච්‍යය,කර්‍ම(ණි)වාච්‍යය and භාවවාච්‍යය.

වායුකරනවා, v. t. to turn into air, gasify, volatilize.

වි·ශේෂ්‍යය, n. that which is specified, වෙන්වශ යෙන් සඳහන්වූ දේ; characteristic; log, and gram. predicate.

වලිය, n. wrinkle, crease or fold of the skin, රැල්ල; streak made with unguents on the body, රේඛාව; stalk, නටුව.

වේදාංගය, n. (වේද අංගය), branch of knowledge or of the Veda; there are six such regarded as subordinate parts of the Veda, viz. ශික්‍ෂා ශාස්ත්‍රය, learning, sp. pronunciation; කල්ප ශාස්ත්‍රය, religious ceremonies; ව්‍යාකරණ ශා ස්ත්‍රය, grammar; ඡන්‍දශ්ශාස්ත්‍රය, prosody; ජෝතිශ්‍ය ශාස්ත්‍රය, astronomy, and නිරුක්ති ශාස්ත්‍රය, glossography or science of explanation.

වි·බන්‍ධය, n. (වි emp.) constipation, stricture, මලබද්ධ, අඩස්සිය.

වියත්කම, n. learnedness &c.

විපර්‍ය්‍යස්තතාව, n. reversed condition, contrariety, antithesis, ප්‍රතිකූලතාව.
