යථා·ජාතයා, n. natural fool, simpleton, නිවටයා.

යක්‍ෂ·ධූප, n. resin, දුම්මල; turpentine, E. S. So-called because it is used as incense in devil-ceremonies and exorcism, the perfume being supposed to be agreeable to the demon and tend to propitiate him.

යටිය, n. E. of යෂ්ටිය: staff, stick; measuring rod, මනින දණ්ඩ; length of seven cubits, සත්රියන් දිග; a creeping plant, වැල.

යම්·තාක්, a. whatever degree, as many or much or long as, යම්පමණ (දෙනෙක් &c).

යෝධයා, n. giant; warrior, හේවායා, combatant, භටයා, hero, වීරයා.

යම·දිගු·හිමි, n. Lord of the South, දකුණුදිග හිමියා.

යෙහෙක, යෙහෙකි, n. used as a phrase: it is good, very good, it is well, all right, හොඳයි යසයි.

යම, යමයා, n. The Indian Pluto, who is the Regent of the South and of death, and judge in the infernal region called පාතාලය of those who at death go there because it is doubtful whether they are bad enough for නරකාදිය or good enough for ස්වර්‍ගය, virtue and vice being about equal in them, their fate Yama decides: දකුණු දිශාවේ දෙවියා, යමරජ.
