යකුන්·ඇදහීම, යකුන් වැඳීම, v. n. believing in or worshipping demons, demonolatry.

යශය·යශස, n. good, happiness, prosperity, ශුභය.

යනෙන, v. adj. pres. (යන එන), that go and come or go to and fro.

යුගය, n. two, couple, කුට්ටම, pair, යුග ලය; yoke, වියගහ; a measure of four cubits; era, age or duration of the world, the four ages are called කෘත or සතය,ත්‍රෙතා,ද්වාපාර, and කලි, which last is the present age: see කෘතයුගය &c.

යෝනකයා, n. Moorman, මරක්කලයා.

යෙදෙනවා, v. t. of යොදනවා: to become formed, form; comport with, befit; to be engaged in, occupied with. It is also a verb aux. with other verbs in the infinitive, as ඕහු ලියුම ලියන්ට යෙදුණ, It occurred that he wrote the letter or he did write the letter; sp. used to unite a number of coordinate verbs, as ඔහු මේක කරන්ටත් ලියුම ලියන්ටත් යෙදුණ, he both did this and wrote the letter; pret. යෙදුණ; u. n. යෙදීම.

යටපත්කරනවා, v. t. to bring under, subdue, repress, suppress; abrogate, set aside, supersede; cover up, conceal, stifle (a matter).

යකඩ, n. or a. iron.

යථාපී, ad. somehow, යම් අන්දමකින්.
