මකුල, n. opening bud, පිපෙන දළුව.

මාලු·පිනි, n. curry, මාලු.

මී·හම, n. buffalo skin or leather.

මෘග·තෘෂ්ණාව, n. desire of animals, viz. mirage, which looks like water, and which they desire, මිරිඟුව.

මහා·සාරය, n. (සාරය wealth), the supposed vast wealth of the three highest H. castes: that of the royal or military, that of the priestly and that of the Vellāla or agricultural. The first is said to be at least 100 kótis (1000 millions) of kahāpanas, which, if of gold, is more than 1000 million pounds sterling; the second is half that amount and the third half the amount of the second.

මලය, n. (Sans. mountain), name of the mountain range on the western side of the peninsula of India, from which the country or region of Malayalam or Malabar is named; it extends from Cape Comorin to the river Chandra-giri, in lat. 12°27 north; a. mountainous.
