අධි මාසය, n. intercalary month, consisting of the difference between the solar and lunar year; super or superior month, viz., the first of any two months that begin during one and the same sign of the zodiac.

අන්ධකාරකම අන්ධකාරය, n. darkness.

අව මංගල්‍යගීතිය, n. sorrowful hymn, funeral hymn, elegy.

අව ලාදකරනවා, අව ලාදකියනවා, v. to reproach, find fault with, upbraid; complain, grumble.

අඩිගහනවා, v. to stamp with the foot.

අත් හිස, n. top of the arm, viz. the shoulder, උරහිස, දසරුව.

අස්වනවා, අස්සනවා, v. c. to cause to hear; pret. ඇසෙවුවා or ඇස්සෙවුවා v. n., ඇස්සවීම.

අ නාථ පිණ්ඩක, අ නාථ පිණ්ඩික, a. giving alms to the destitute, charitable, දන්දෙන; ep. of a B. noble who was a contemporary of Buddha.

අත පසු, a. delayed, backward.

අතකුරු ගසනවා, v. to throw small stones with the hand for augury. See අකුරකින් විදිනවා.
