පේටකය, n. basket for clothes &c., trunk, පෙට් ටිය; quantity, හුඟක්, multitude, සමූහය.

පුළුගන්වනවා, v. t. to present, offer, පිළිගන්වනවා.

පුෂ්ප·වෘන්තය, n. peduncle, මල්නටුව.

පෞත්‍රයා, n. son's son, grandson, මුනුබුරා. (Also daughter's son).

පස්·බත, n. See පසුබත.

පොලොත්ත, n. coconut shell, පොල්කටුව.

පැදුර, n. mat; pl. පැදුරු.

පුටකය, පුටය, n. cup or hollow made by putting the open hands together or by folding a leaf, leaf-cup, ගොටුව; small flame, ගිනිදැල්ල; cloth to cover the privities.

පාරමිතාව, n. crossing over, attainment; sp. the complete performance of B. ordinances as a prerequisite to Buddhaship. Each one of these, expressing the observance generally, is subdivided into උප, secondary, and පරමාර්‍ථ, paramount or supreme: expressing an inferior or pre-eminent observance of the duty, as දානෝපපාරමිතාව, referring to gifts of secondary or inferior kind, such as gold, silver &c., and දානපරමාර්‍ථ පාරමිතාව, to gifts of the highest kind, such as wife, children, one's own body &c. These make in all සමත්‍රිංශත් පාරමිතා, viz. a total of thirty පාරමිතා.

පාලිය, n. row, range, line, පේළිය; lobe of the ear, කන්පෙත්ත; edge of a tool, මුවාත; mark, ලකුණ; spot, ලපය; the Pali language, (so called because of its perfect grammatical arrangement), the ancient language of south Bihar, also called මාගධ භාෂාව.
