ප්‍ර·වරතර, a. famous, කිර්‍තතිමත්, illustrious, උත්කෘෂ්ට, masterly, pre-eminent, ඉතා උතුම් ශ්‍රෙෂ්ඨ.

ප්‍රති·ඝනය, n. lit. re-destruction, viz. the body, ශරීරය.

පිරිපත, n. injury, disaster, අනතුර.

පදබේරනවා, v. to parse, පද විභාගදක්නවා.

පසළොස්, a. fifteen, පහළොස්.

පුරාණය, n. One of a class of H. sacred and poetical works, which are said to have been compiled or composed by the poet ව්‍යාස. Of these there are eighteen, with eighteen supplementary works called Upa Purana, උප පුරාණ. They treat of the creation, destruction and renovation of worlds, the genealogy and achievements of gods and heroes, the reigns of the Man us and the transactions of their descendants. These works constitute the H. theology, and are much studied.

පුනරුත්‍ථාපන, a. (·උත්‍ථාන), rising again, නැවත නැගිටින.

පුද, n. E. of පූජා: offering, oblation; salutation, bow, වැඳීම.

පදිනවා, v. t. to paddle, row, (a boat); drive (a carriage); swing to and fro; pret. පැද්දා; p. pl. පැද; v. n. පැදීම.

ප්‍රාර්‍ථනා·නැතිකම, ප්‍රාර්‍ථනා·ශූන්‍යතාව, n. hopelessness, despair.
