පොතලා, n. jackal, canis aureus, නරියා.

පාරමිතාව, n. crossing over, attainment; sp. the complete performance of B. ordinances as a prerequisite to Buddhaship. Each one of these, expressing the observance generally, is subdivided into උප, secondary, and පරමාර්‍ථ, paramount or supreme: expressing an inferior or pre-eminent observance of the duty, as දානෝපපාරමිතාව, referring to gifts of secondary or inferior kind, such as gold, silver &c., and දානපරමාර්‍ථ පාරමිතාව, to gifts of the highest kind, such as wife, children, one's own body &c. These make in all සමත්‍රිංශත් පාරමිතා, viz. a total of thirty පාරමිතා.

පූර්‍වෝචිත, a. (පූර්‍ව උචිත), previouby suitable, predisposed, ඉස්සර ලැදි or සුදුසු.

පිරි·සඳ, n. full moon.

ප්‍ර·මේය, n. what is to be proved, theorem.

පටි·සෝත·ගාමි, a. (සෝත fr. ස්‍රෝත), lit. and fig. going against the stream, difficult, අමාරු.

පිරෙනවා, v. i. to become filled or full; pret. පිරුණ; v. n. පිරීම.

පරි·මෘජ්‍ය, a. that may be or should be cleaned or touched, පවිත්‍රකල හැකිවූ or යුතුවූ.

ප්‍රීතිමත්කරනවා, v. t. to delight, charm, enrapture.
