පොතු·අරිනවා, or ගහනවා, v. t. to decorticate, bark, peel, husk.

ප්‍ර·නම්පිත, a. well-decocted.

පස්·විසි·මහ·බය, n. the twenty-five, great fears or causes of fear, viz. birth, old age, sickness, sorrow and death, which, as belonging to the past. present and future, are reckoned as fifteen, to which are added the following ten, viz. fear of thieves, enmity, oppression, persecution, punishment, conscience, water, fire, wild beasts, and incurable disease.

පීතිය, n. P. of ප්‍රීතිය: joy.

පක්‍ෂම, n. eyelash, ඇස් පිහාට්ට; filament of a flower.

පිංග, පිංගල, a. tawny, පිඟු.

ප්‍ර·විදාරණය, n. (ප්‍ර away, see විදාරණ), tearing, ඉරීම, dividing, බෙදිම; tumult, කෝලාහලය; breaking out, outbreak, බිඳගනයාම; budding, දළුලෑම; war, combat, යුඩය, සටන.

පීදෙනවා, v. i. to sprout, form ears (as corn), burst into flower (for the first time); pret. පීදුණ.

පුහුල්කපනවා, v. to cut gourds when offering to demons.

පාරායණය, n. (පාර other side, අයනය going), crossing over, passage, එතරවීම; attainment, ප්‍රාප්තවීම, completeness, සම්පූර්‍ණකම.
