පේ·වෙනවා, v. i. to devote one's self, prepare for a religious ceremony. Cp. පෙහෙවෙනවා.

පසු·බත, n. afternoon, the time after the meal time.

පටුතර, a. very skilful, ඉතා සමර්‍ථ.

පනා·දැත්ත, n. tooth of a comb.

පිටය, n. wicker basket (for holding grain), පැස.

පුට·දෙනවා, v. t. (පුට fire), to give to the fire, viz. to calcine metals; prepare medicines by fire. E. S.

පාරාජිකා, a. meriting expulsion; pert. to the four heinous offences which exclude from the priesthood and for which there is no expiation in this life. viz. sexual intercourse, theft, murder, false assumption of the name and character of a 'rahat'.
