ගන්නවා, v. t. to take, accept; buy. Used also with the p. pl. of another verb to express the reflexive sense or that the action is done to or for one's self or mutually, as ඔහු ගෙයක් සාදාගත්තා. He built himself a house; ඔවුන් කථාකරගත්තා. They conversed together; pret. ගත්තා; p. pl. ගන or ගෙන; v. n. ගැනීම.

ගතිය, n. condition, state, nature or disposition, quality.

ගරු·තර, a. worthy, honourable, venerable.

ගභී·පාතකය, n. abortion-producer, viz. a kind of murunga.

ගරු·නැතිකම, n. disrespect &c.

ගංගාව, n. river, ගඟ.

ගව·දය, n. cattle-shed, හරක්ගාල.
