අ මනයා, n. stupid person, simpleton, නිවටයා, මෝඩයා.

අ ලජ්ජිකයා, අලජ්ජියා, n. shameless person, ලජ්ජානැත්තා; glutton, කෑදරයා.

අ ස්මාර්‍තත,අ ස්මෘත, a. forgotton, immemorial, මතකනැතිවූ.

අක්කාරම, n. fur on the tongue, thrush.

අක්කාරම් බැඳෙනවා, v. i. fur or thrush forms (on the tongue).

අකුර, n. E. of අංකුරය: sprout, bud, දළුව; small stone, කුඩා ගල; pl. අකුරු.

අකුරකින් විදිනවා, v. to shoot with a small stone for augury. This is done by taking stones between the two fore-fingers and projecting them against the bark and leaves of trees and then predicting coming events according to the marks made by the stones.

අගන්‍යුත්පත්ති මනය, n. (අග්නි උත්පත්ති), plutonism: the opinion that the formation of the earth's crust is due to the action of fire.

අගස්තිය, n. a valuable red stone. Bot.

අග් ගල, n. upper millstone, උඩගල.

අග්න්‍යුත්පත්ති මතියා, n. plutonist; one who holds the above-said opinion.

අග්නි ගර්‍භය, n. lit. fire-womb, viz., crystal, පළිඟු; the sun-stone, supposed to contain solar heat, සූර්‍ය්‍යකාන්තය.

අග්නි ජ, a. igneous, plutonic, ගින්නෙන් අටගත්.

අග්නි ජ පර්‍වතය, n. igneous rock, plutonic rock, ගින්නෙන් සෑදුණ පර්‍වතය.
