අටඟ මග, n. (අට, අග portion, section), the eightfold way to Nirvāna, i. e. the way embracing eight sections, viz. — 1. සම්‍යක් දෘෂ්ටිය, right view, orthodoxy. 2. සම්‍යක් සංකල්පනාව, right volition or determination. 3. සම්‍යක් වචනය, right speech. 4. සම්‍යක් කර්‍මන්තය, right action. 5. සම්‍යක් ආජීවය, right living or livelihood. 6. සම්‍යක් ව්‍යායාමය, right effort. 7. සම්‍යක් සමෘතිය, right remembrance or contemplation of the past. 8. සම්‍යක් සමාධිය, right meditation.

අදිටන, n. E. of අධිෂ්ඨානය: determination, resolve, නියම or ස්ථිර අදහස.

අධි ෂ්ඨාන පාරමිතාව, n. duty or attainment of determination of will, a B. ordinance.

අධි ෂ්ඨානය, n. determination, resolve, volition, අදහස්කෙරීම, intentness, හිත යොමුකෙරීම.

අන්තිමය, n. end, termination, තීන්දුව.

අපරානතය, n. (අපර අනතය), the other extremity, the termination, the end, referring to the end of the quiescent or vacant Kalpa, opposed to පූර්‍වානතය.

අභි සමනය, n. extermination, නැතිකිරීම, suppression, stoppage, නැවැත්වීම, සංසිඳවීම.

අව සානය, n (Sans. rt. සෝ to finish), conclusion, termination, end, boundary, අන්තිමය.

ඉටන, n. determination, resolve: අදිටන.

උච්ඡේදනය, උච්ඡේදය, n. cutting off, excision, extermination, සිඳදැමීම.

ඌර්‍ඬව ගතවෙනවා, v. i. to go upwards, tend upwards: ලේ ඌර්‍ඬව....... in determination of blood to the head.

කම, n. E. of කර්‍මය: business, matter: need; used also as a termination of nouns to express quality, as යහපත්කම, goodness. කමක් නෑ, There is no need, never mind.

ක්ලේශය, n. any passion, desire or evil affection, අභිලාෂය, කෙලෙස්; sorrow, affliction, care, දුක. B. teaches that ක්ලේශය or desire is the root of all sin and sorrow, and renders transmigration and continued existence inevitable until all ක්ලේශ are subdued and exterminated; when that is accomplished නිර්‍වාණ or non-existence is attained. The non-attainment of it,—that is, continued conscious existence,—is regarded as a calamity, and it is the supreme object of B. and its laws and observances to effect the extermination of ක්ලේශ.

කුමාරිය, n. In H. cosmology the central part of the Universe, viz. Jambudwipa or India, sp. the southern part terminating in cape Comorin or Kumāri; also a river issuing from mount Saktiman. Bot.

කෙළවර, n. end, extremity, termination, තොං ගල, අන්තිමය.
