අ ප්‍ර සහ්‍ය, a. (සහ්‍ය endurable), unendurable, insufferable, intolerable, දරන්ටම බැරිවූ, අසහ්‍ය.

අ විචිය, n. (අ priv., වීචිය intermission), name of the lowest hell, where there is no intermission of suffering.

අ සහ්‍ය, a. intolerable, insufferable, ඉවසිය නො හැකිවූ.

අපත් ප්‍රාප්ත, a. (අපත් loss), unfortunate, suffering loss or injury, විපතෙන් යුක්ත, විපත විඳින.

අපා දුක, n. suffering or punishment of hell, නිරයේ දුක.

උප පීඩක, a. retributive, inflicting retributive suffering, ප්‍රතිඵලදායක.

උපද්‍රැතවෙනවා, v. i. to be injured &c., suffer loss.

කනවා, v. t. to eat; fig. suffer, as තැළුම්කනවා, suffer beating; pret. කෑවා; v. n. කෑම.

කන් කටුලු, n. great suffering or distress, තද දුක.

කඹුරනවා, v. to serve for debt &c., repay or gain by service or suffering; pret. කැඹුරුවා; v. n. කැඹිරීම.

ගහට, n. affliction, suffering, පීඩාව; striking against, හැප්පීම.

චතුරාර්‍ය්‍ය·සත්‍ය, n. pl. the four higher or chief truths, viz, that existence involves suffering, the cause of suffering, Nirvāna or extinction of suffering, the way to the extinction of suffering.

තැළුම්කනවා, v. to suffer a beating, be flogged.

තිතික්‍ෂණය, තිතික්‍ෂාව, තිතික්‍ෂුතාව, n. patience, resignation, sufferance, ඉවසිල්ල.

දරනවා, v. t. to bear, suffer; support, sustain; pret. දැරුවා; v. n. දැරීම.
