අ තන්ද්‍ර, අ තන්ද්‍රිත, a. wakeful, alert, sprightly, උනන්දු.

අ මෘතාභිෂේකය, n. (අමෘත අභි:), sprinkling nectar, අමාදිය ඉසීම.

අක් කිත්ත, අක් කිනිත්ත, n. (අක් ඉත්ත), terminal catkin or sprig.

අටගන්නවා, v. i. to germinate, spring up; be produced, arise; pret. අටගත්තා; v. n. අට ගැනීම.

අභි ෂික්ත, a. (අභි upon, සිච් to sprinkle), Sprinkled or anointed for installation.

අභි ෂේකකරනවා, v. t. (අභි, ෂිච්, for සිච්), to sprinkle or anoint.

අභි ෂේකය, n. sprinkling, anointing, pouring or bathing, unction to install a king &c.

අභි ෂේකලත්, a. sprinkled, anointed, (දිය) ඉසි නලද, ආලේප ලැබූ.

අවතාරය, n. apparition, ghost, fantasm, spectre, sprite, manes, ප්‍රේතයා; in ancient usage: descent or incarnation of a god, as of Vishnu in the form of a fish, tortoise, boar, man-lion (නෘසිංහ), dwarf, the two Rāmas, Krishna, Buddha, Kalki &c.; also for අවතරණය.

අහර්මුඛය, n. (අහර් මුඛය), face of day, viz, day-spring, dawn, අලුයම.

ආ සේචනය, n. (ආ on, සිච් to sprinkle), sprinkling, ඉසීම.
