අ ව්‍යාපක, අ ව්‍යාපන, අ ව්‍යාප්‍ය, a. not diffused or general, limited, පැතිරීනැති, සාමාන්‍ය නොවන; special, peculiar, විශේෂ.

අ විශේෂ, a. not special or characteristic, undistinguishing, not differing, ordinary: see අවිශිෂ්ට.

අ සාධාරණ, a. not general, සාමාන්‍යනොවන, special, විශේෂ; but usually inequitable, partial, unjust, unfair, අනඩු, පක්ෂපාත, අයුතු.

අගඝිකය, n. a special kind of arch. See ඇගෑව.

අග්‍ර දින, n. a high day, great day, special day, උතුම් දින.

අඩව්ව, n. a special dance indicating the person honoured, somersault.

කාක පක්ෂ, n. side-locks of hair on the temples of boys and young men (especially of the Kshatriya caste).

කාල විශේෂය, n. special time, characteristic of the time.

තපස, n. religious austerity, asceticism, penance; special duties of the different castes; dewy or hot season.

පසේ·බුදුන්, n. (පසේ fr. P. පච්චෙක=S. ප්‍රත්‍යෙ ක, each several, each, and බුදුන්), one of an inferior class of Buddhas, who appeared from time to time before Gautama Buddha. They had not the legibative power or prerogatives of a supreme Buddha and rendered no special assistance to others, though they themselves finally attained Nirvana.

ප්‍ර·ධාන, a. (ප්‍ර emp., ධා holding), predominant, principal, chief, especial.

ප්‍රකීණිකය, ප්‍රකීර්‍ණය, n. chapter, පරිච්ඡේදය; extent, ප්‍රමාණය; special decree, වි‍ශේෂ නිය මයක්; collection of rules, නියෝගරැස; yak-tail whisk: see චාමරය.

පාරි·ජාත, පාරි·ජාතක, (පරි special, ජාන production), one of the five celestial trees said to yield whatever is desired, see කප්තුර; also coral tree, see එරබදු.

පින්කම, n. (කම E. of කර්‍මය), B. religious act of merit or special observances or festival to obtain merit by offering alms &c.
