අ කමනීය, a. undesirable, unpleasant, unenvi able, අප්‍රසන්න.

අ ප්‍රිය, a. displeased, averse, reluctant, කැමති නැති; disagreeable, unpleasant, ප්‍රසන්න ගති යක් නැති.

අ මධුර, a. unsavoury, distasteful; fig. harsh, unpleasant, unmusical; අමිහිරි.

අ මෘත වර්‍ෂාව, n. rain of ambrosia or nectar, අමාවැස්ස; pleasant rain, මිහිරි වැස්ස.

අ සම්මත, a. dissenting, dissentient, recusant. discordant, එකඟනැති, එකමුතුනැති.

අ සම්මතයා, n. dissenter, non-content, recusant, එකමුතු නැත්තා.

අති පරි ශුඬ ස්ථානය, n. most holy place, sanctum sanctorum, ඉතා ශුඬස්ථානය.

අති ශුඬ ස්ථානය, a. most holy place, sanctuary, oracle.

අනන්තයා, n. the infinite one: ap. of නාගරාජයා, so called because he has two thousand tongues.

අනවරතයෙන්, ad. unceasingly, incessantly, &c., නිතරම.

අන්තඃ කල්පය, n. a certain number of years in Buddhism: according to B. man's age increases by imperceptible degrees from ten years to an Asankhya (අසංඛ්‍ය) and then decreases in the same way to ten years: the period required for this is an Antahkalpa. See අසංඛ්‍ය.

අන්‍යාලාප, අන්·අලප්, n. a metaphor that is in the nature of an allegory, 'allegorical metaphor': see sidatsangara, Ch. xii.

අනු ඥාත, a. (අනු according to, ඥා to know), ordered; permitted, sanctioned; අවසර සහිත.

අනු ඥාන, a. commanding, අණකරන; sanctioning, permissive, අවසරදෙන, consenting, එක මුතුවීම.

අනු ඥානය, අනු ඥාව, n. order, අණ; permission, sanction, අවසරය, අනුදැනීම, consent, එක මුතුවීම.
