අ දක්ෂ කථාකාර, අ දක්ෂ කථික, a. awkward at speaking, ineloquent, කථාවට දක්ෂනැති.

අ දත්තාදානය, n. (අදත්ත not given, අදානය taking), taking what is not given, viz. larceny, theft, හොරකම.

අ නිමිෂ ලෝචන, n. pl. or a. unblinking eyes, නොපියනඇස්; having unblinking or never-closing eyes, ඇස් නොපියන, ever-wakeful, beepless, පිබිද සිටින. See අනිද්‍ර.

අ ප්‍ර සමීක්ෂණ, අ ප්‍ර සමීක්ෂණාකාර, a. (ප්‍ර emp., සම් with, ඊක්ෂ to see), not looking carefully, incautions, inconsiderate, imprudent, reckless, අප්‍රවේසම්, අනුවණ.

අ මනෝහර, a. (මනඃ: mind, හර taking), unattractive. ungraceful, displeasing: see අම නෝඥ.

අ රාජක, a.without king or government, රජෙක් නැති, anarchical.

අ සත්‍ය භාෂක, a. speaking untruth, mendacious, බොරුකාර.

අ සල, a. E. of අචල: unshaking, firm, නො සෙල්වෙන, ස්ථිර.

අ ස්වාථීපර, a. (ස්ව one's own), not self-seeking, unselfish. E.S.

අකුරකින් විදිනවා, v. to shoot with a small stone for augury. This is done by taking stones between the two fore-fingers and projecting them against the bark and leaves of trees and then predicting coming events according to the marks made by the stones.

අග රජ, අග රජ්ජුරුවෝ, n. supreme king, emperor, autocrat.

අග හිග, n. pl. or a. deficiencies; deficient, lacking; destitute.

අග්නි කාරිකාව, අග්නි කාර්‍ය්‍යය, n. (කාරිකාව, &c., making), the maintaining of a saerificial fire; that which does it, viz, fuel, sp. ghee, ගිතෙල්.
