අන්තඃ කල්පය, n. a certain number of years in Buddhism: according to B. man's age increases by imperceptible degrees from ten years to an Asankhya (අසංඛ්‍ය) and then decreases in the same way to ten years: the period required for this is an Antahkalpa. See අසංඛ්‍ය.

ආකාසානන්දචායතනය, n. (ආයතන) the first Brahma world, where the inhabitants live twenty thousand kalpas in an incorporeal state.

ආකිචඤඤායතනය, n. the third Brahma world, where the inhabitants live sixty thousand kalpas in an incorporeal state.

ආභස්සරය, n. Brahma world where life endures eight kalpas.

කල්ප ස්ථායි, a. continuing a kalpa, කල්පයක් පවතින.

කල්ප සීමාව, n. boundary or end of the kalpa, කල්පයේ කෙළවර.

කල්පාන්ත වර්‍ෂාව, n. In B., the rain at the end of the kalpa by which the world is destroyed, being one of the three ways in which destruction occurs. The other two are the following.

කල්පාන්ත වහනිය, n. In B., the fire at the end of a kalpa.

කල්පාන්ත වාතය, n. In B., the wind at the end of a kalpa.

කල්පාන්තය, (අන්තය), end of the kalpa or age, destruction of the world.

පද්මොත්තර, n. name of a Buddha of one of the first kalpas.

ප්‍ර·ලය, n. (ප්‍ර., emp., ලය fr. ලි loss, end), end, තීන්දුම, death, මරණය, loss, destruction, විනා ශය, fainting, ක්ලාන්තය; sp. the end of the kalpa or destruction of the world.

පූර්‍වාන්තය, n. (අන්තය end, extremity), first extremity, viz. the beginning of the vacant kalpa, opposed to අපරාන්තය.

භද්‍ර·කල්පය, n. the auspicious කල්පය or period of the world: there are said to be four kalpas, three of which have elapsed; this is the fourth and is called the auspicious kalpa because in it five Buddhas are to appear, four of whom have already appeared, and the fifth, called Maitri Buddha, is yet to come.

මණිරත්නය, n. (මණ්ඩ ornament), B. the second of the four kalpse or grand periods. They are named from the number of Buddhas born in them. In the මණ්ඩකල්පය two appeared, in the present or භද්‍රකල්පය there are to be five: see භද්‍රකල්පය.
