අ පක්ෂ වාදි, a. (වාදි speaking, maintaining), impartial; diboyal, opposed, විරුඬ.

අ ස්පර්‍ශනීය, අ ස්පෘෂ්ටව්‍ය, අ ස්පෘශ්‍ය, a. not to be touched, තට්ටුකළ or අතගෑනොයුතු; intangible, impalpable. E. S.

අ ස්පෘශ්‍යාකාරයෙන්, ad. intangibly, impalpably, (අතට) නොදැනෙනලෙස.

අග්නි කාරිකාව, අග්නි කාර්‍ය්‍යය, n. (කාරිකාව, &c., making), the maintaining of a saerificial fire; that which does it, viz, fuel, sp. ghee, ගිතෙල්.

අග්නි රක්ෂණය, n. maintaining (sacred) fire.

අෂ්‍ට වංක මාණික්‍යය, n. a famous gem of light angles or facets, said to have been deposited in the great shrine of Mihintala.

ඇඳුනුම්කාරයා, n. person known, acquaintance.

උදාසීනයා, n. stranger or mere acquaintance, අමුත්තා; stoic. E. S.

ඒ, n. The twelfth letter of the alphabet. Its sound is that of the preceding vowel lengthened: as a in Fade, but somewhat broader, the initial sound of it being maintained throughout, without changing into i as the English sound does: consequently in English words it would seem somewhat inelegant. Its non-initial form is the same as the preceding, but lengthened by the addition of /?/ or ි to the consonant, as කේ ké (cay), මේ mé (may).

ඕවාලකැටයම, ඕවාලසණ්ඨානය, n. intaglio.

නඩත්තුකරනවා, නඩමාඩකරනවා, v. t. to maintain (with a living), support, රක්‍ෂාකරනවා.

නේවඤ්ඤනාසඤ්ඤයතනය, n. the fourth formless Brahma world, which is so intangible or subtile that there is neither consciousness or unconsciousness.

නො·ඉඳුල්, a. unbroached, intact, uncontaminated.
