අ ශ්‍රමණ, a. non-ascetic, laic, ගිහි; unpriestly, unbecoming a monk, තාපසයාට නුසුදුසු.

අෂ්ට ධර්‍මය, n. the law of eight, viz. the eight essentials for becoming a Buddha: 1 manhood, 2 the male sex, 3 merit, 4 to have seen a Buddha, 5 ascetic condition, monkhood, 6 virtuousness, 7 aspiration to Buddhahood, 8 a strenuous heart for it.

ඈරීම, v. n. of ආරනවා: becoming fat, fattening.

ඉස්සීම, v. n. of උස්සනවා and ඉස්සෙනවා: lifting, elevating; becomiug lifted up.

උදය වැය නැණ, n. E. of උදයව්‍යයඥනය: lit knowledge of rising and declining, viz. of becoming and ceasing to be, වීමද නැතිවීමද දන්නා ඥනය.

කැවීම, v. n. of කැවෙනවා and කවනවා: becoming eaten; causing to be eaten.

තෙමීම, v. n. of තෙමනවා and තෙමෙනවා: wetting, or becoming wet.
