අනුමෝදනාව, අනුමෝදන්, n. participation of or satisfaction with the joy or merit acquired, B. P. acceptance of and thanks for offerings made, with benediction also.

අභි ඥාත, a. ascertained, known, දැන‍‍‍ගනතිබෙව, දන්නාලද, අභිඥානය, අභිඥාව n profound or sp. or extraordinary knowledge, cognition, recognition, විශේෂ දැනගැන්ම or දැනීම; five supernatural acquirements of Rahats, viz. power to assume any form, to hear the feeblest sounds and see objects at any distance, to know the disposition and thoughts of others, to know the condition of any person in former existences.

ආපන්න, a. attained, acquired, පැමිණි, ප්‍රාප්ත.

ආ‍‍පාත, a. apt, fit, appropriate, සුදුසු; acquired, ප්‍රාපාත; trusty, trusted, විශ්වාස; generally received, authoritative, ඒත්තුගන්නාලද.

උපයනවා, v. t. procure, acquire, provide, furnish, සපයනවා; pret. ඉපයෙවුවා; v. n. ඉපයීම.

උපාජීජිත, a. acquired, collected, ලබාගන්නලද &c.

කුසල, n. merit acquired by good or religious works.

කෘත පුණ්‍යය, n. merit accomplished or acquired, කරගත් කුසල.

කෘතාධීකාර, a. who has acquired merit, meritorious, privileged, කුසල් ඇත්තාවූ, පුණ්‍ය.

තේ·කිසිනු, n. (glorious asceticism), Buddha's power, acquired by the severest religious austerities, of diffusing a fiery splendour from his body sufficient to illumine the region around him for many miles; ascetic observance or attainment so called, viz, fixing the mind exclusively upon the element of fire. See පරිකසින.

පත්ති·දානය, n. the giving of merit by one who acquired it to another person.

ප්‍රති·ලබ්ධ, a. received, ලැබුණු, obtained, acquired, ලබාගත්.

ප්‍රාප්ත, a. (ප්‍ර emp., ආප්ත attained, acquired), attained, arrived at, obtained, gained, තැබු ණුණ, ලබාගත්. E. S.

බෝධි·ඥානය, n. Buddha-knowledge, viz. perfect knowledge which must be acquired for the attainment of Buddhahood.

ලබාගන්නවා, v. t. to obtain, get, acquire.
