අං අදිනවා, v. to pull horns: a native game.

අංගම් වදිනවා, v. i. to be struck with magic, be bewitched.

අකුරකින් විදිනවා, v. to shoot with a small stone for augury. This is done by taking stones between the two fore-fingers and projecting them against the bark and leaves of trees and then predicting coming events according to the marks made by the stones.

අටනයකරනවා, v. to travel, walk, ගමන්කරනවා, ඇවිදිනවා.

අත විදිනවා, v. to pierce the hand or arm, bleed it; vaccinate.
