අ කර්‍ම, අ කර්‍ම ශීලි, a. without occupation, inactive, idle, අලස; demeritorious, කුසල් නැති.

අ කුශල, a. demeritorious, කුසල්නැති; unhappy, කාලකණ්ණි; inexpert, අසමර්‍ථ.

අ කුසල, n. demerit; misfortune or affliction. as the result of demerit in a former existence, අවාසනාව.

අ පිසස්, a. free from demons &c., unhaunted, පිශාචයන් or රකුසන් නැති.

අ පුණ්‍ය, a. demeritorious, කුසල් නැති, unworthy, අයහපත්; unfortunate, අවාසනාවන්ත.

අකුස්ස, n. E. of අංකුසය: elephant goad or hook; pl. අකුසු.

අපුණ්‍යය, n. demerit, අකුසල; ill-fortune, අවා සනාව.

ආනන්තර්‍ය්‍ය කර්‍ම, n. pl. deeds or results without an interval, i. e. the five අකුසල් which are to be punished in the very next life, viz. matricide, patricide, the murder of a Rahat, shedding blood of a Buddha, schism (amongst the priesthood, සංඝභේදය), and the eight කුසල් or අෂ්ටසමාපති which are to be at once rewarded.

ඉෂ්ට විපාකය, n. happy reward or reward of merit, කුසල් විපාකය; good luck, fortunate result.

ඉෂ්ටානිෂ්ට, n. (ඉෂ්ට අනිෂ්ට), good and bad fortune, යහපත අයහපත; merit and demerit, කුසලාකුසල.

උකුස්සා, n. kite, hawk, goshawk, harrier.

උකුසුවා, n. a monstrous fabulous bird: see ගුරුළා.

උයන ගෙය, n. cook-house, kitchen, කුස්සිය.

ඒක ගර්‍භ, a. uterine (brother &c.), එක්කුසේ.

ඔඩම, n. drinking vessel, goblet, කුසලාන.
